Reuters: Sudan must change if ICC to freeze charges -France. France's president said on Tuesday that Paris could support freezing a possible war crimes indictment of Sudan's leader if Khartoum radically changed its policies in its war-ravaged Darfur region. "There will be no recourse to Article 16 unless there is a radical and immediate change in Sudanese policies," Nicolas Sarkozy told the U.N. General Assembly.

Agence France-Presse: EU condemns Sudan for military's use of white UN-like planes. The European Union condemned on Tuesday the Sudanese military's use of white aircraft in strife-torn Darfur, calling it a deliberate attempt to create confusion with UN planes. "The European Union calls on the Sudanese authorities to put an immediate end to the military operations which started a few days ago in Darfur," the bloc's French presidency said in a statement.

Daily Mississippian: Darfur refugee speaks on genocide survival. The Croft Institute for International Studies at the University of Mississippi will host "Voices from Darfur" Wednesday as part of the Brown Bag Lecture Series. "Voices from Darfur" is a national speaking tour sponsored by the Save Darfur Coalition. The program will feature Darfur refugee Daoud Hari sharing personal stories of surviving the mass genocide in Darfur. Amjad Atallah, senior director for International Policy and Advocacy for the Save Darfur Coalition, will also speak at Wednesday's event.
