Washington Post: Darfur rebels sign truce deal with Sudan.  Darfur's most powerful rebel group has initialed a truce with the Sudanese government, officials said Saturday, marking the rebel group's return to peace talks aimed at ending the Darfur conflict.  The truce between the rebel Justice and Equality Movement and the Sudanese government takes effect immediately, said Idriss Deby, Chad's president, in a statement.

Agence France Presse: World Bank admits 'not satisfied' with south Sudan spending.  The World Bank said on Saturday it was "not satisfied" with its own management of a key fund to rebuild the war-shattered region of south Sudan, where less than half the money granted has been spent five years after the conflict ended.  The World Bank-administered Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) has been heavily criticised by donors, with a lack of spending restricting the main route to funnel cash to support the south as it rebuilds from a 1983-2005 civil war.

Sudan Tribune: Darfur rebels accuse splinter commanders of joining Sudanese army.  The rebel Sudan Liberation Movement led by Abdel-Wahid Al-Nur (SLM-AW) accused splinter commanders of taking part in recent government attacks against its positions in Jebel Marra saying this triggered displacement of thousands of civilians.
